FJS has been appointed as the external auditors of Heavy Force Pvt. Ltd. for conducting financial audit for the year ended 31st December 2020 in its Board of Directors’ meeting held on 20th December 2020.

Heavy Force is a marine and offshore construction company established in the Republic of Maldives during the year 2005, executing infrastructure development projects such as dredging & reclamation, waterfront construction, island infrastructure construction for the government and private sector in the Maldives.

FJS has been engaged as the external auditors of Heavy Force Pvt. Ltd. from the year 2011 onwards.

STO Plc engages FJS to conduct a corporate governance review of its subsidiary, Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company Ltd (MIFCO). This review includes evaluating the processes and structures implemented by the Board, assessing and making recommendation for improving governance process, evaluating the application of Corporate Governance Code of Maldives at MIFCO and the application of STO’s Corporate Governance Code, analysing and reviewing board policies as well as reviewing the effectiveness of all Board committees in meeting responsibilities.

FJS concludes organizational structure review of Maldives Sports Corporation Limited (MSCL). The primary purpose of the engagement was to recommend changes to the organizational structure to better streamline with the purpose and objectives of the Company.

The Ministry of Finance, Maldives engages FJS to develop a principle-based harmonized procurement policy for State-Owned Enterprises that is within the parameters set in the public finance regulations, to help the SOEs to procure goods and services in a more competitive, transparent and cost-effective manner. The project involves conducting an analysis of procurement of goods, works and services procured by SOEs, assessing the relevancy of current public procurement regulation to SOE sector, developing a procurement guideline/policy for SOEs and developing functional responsibilities of procurement function and job description of the main staff of procurement function.

A contract was signed between UNDP and FJS to develop an eLearning Platform for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Maldives. The objective of the project is to design a self-paced and interactive online course with modules on all SDGs catered to the local context and relevant to civil society in the Maldives. FJS will develop course contents and modules following stakeholder consultation with UN agencies, relevant government authorities and civil society organizations, an eLearning Storyboard as well as design and develop a functional platform that is inclusive and accessible for all.

FJS has signed the first addendum to the contract signed with the Ministry of Environment on 24th September 2018 upon appointment of FJS as the internal auditor for the Maldives Clean Environment Project.

FJS was initially appointed as the internal auditor of the Maldives Clean Environment Project for the period 1st January 2018 to 31st December 2019. As per the first amendment, FJS shall remain as the internal auditor of the mentioned project for the period continuing till 31st December 2022.

Maldives Clean Environment Project is funded by the International Development Association and implemented by the Ministry of Environment for the government of Maldives. The development objective of this project is to improve solid waste management in selected zones.

FJS has been appointed as the internal auditor of SDFC for the period ending 1st October 2019 to 30th September 2020.

FJS is mandated to prepare a 3-year rolling plan for the internal audit function, and to carry out internal audits for the period ending 1st October 2019 to 30th September 2020.

SDFC is a specialized financial institution, fully owned by the government of Maldives, established for providing financial products and ancillary services to MSMEs and entrepreneurial start-ups.

Nielsen LLC engages FJS to implement a nationally representative survey on perception of different social economic segments in the Maldives.
