The topic of today’s session was the ongoing 16-day campaign to end violence against women.
This session, titled “Orange the World: End Violence Against Women Now!”, was led by Ms.Raniya Sobir.
Thank you, Ms.Raniya, for educating us and teaching us that even the smallest act against violence counts.
Our team pledges to actively work to put an end to violence against women.

MMPRC hired FJS as their Internal Auditor for two years, 2021-22.

Agreement for the service was signed on November 25, 2021. FJS would be working closely with the internal audit committee to develop an internal audit plan. In addition to this, FJS will be conducting quarterly audits which will cover various business areas, processes, procedures and will identify possible risky and control weakness areas in the Corporation.

We successfully completed the 7th Ask Expert session on the topic “Fiqh and Objectives of Islam.” Mr.Ahmed Sodiq from the Islamic University of the Maldives led this session.

Our team attended the Maldives Accountants Forum 2021, which had over 130 participants and 18 sessions on various related topics.
We are honored to be a part of this forum, and look forward for the next one.

To celebrate International Accountants Day, our team had a fun-filled afternoon of activities followed by a celebratory lunch. It was undoubtedly an eventful day to mark the occasion.

CEO & Founder at Heat Health and Fitness Mrs. Aishath Shifana Wajeeh conducted the 6th session of Ask Expert to our staffs.

This session was highlighted on

  • The importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and prevention of NCDs
  • Fitness testing and health check
  • The importance of an active lifestyle, regular exercise and eating right
  • Planning a balance exercise program
  • Eating right and maintaining, balanced nutritious meals

This session was followed by some activities to keep our staffs active during the session. It was the perfect way to stretch after a busy audit season.

Internal Audit function of CMDA was outsourced to FJS for the years 2021, 2022 and 2023.  

FJS signed 3 years contract with CMDA to provide internal audit service. The signing took place in CMDA on 1st September 2021. FJS is proud to be the first audit firm to conduct internal audits via outsourced internal audit function by CMDA. Under this contract, FJS will be providing risk management and internal audit services to CMDA, including compliance check on internal controls for risk identification.

FJS has concluded valuation of Blues Housing Project, a housing initiative, which consists of construction and development of apartment complexes at Hulhumale’ for the personnel of Maldives Police Service.

Awarded on 4th April 2021 by the Police Cooperative Society, the valuation was conducted in order to determine the fair value of the present stage of construction along with the value of material available at site and the cost to complete the project.

Additionally, a review of the recorded work in progress was carried out to assess and report on the validity and accuracy of the total work-in-progress value recorded in the books as at the reporting date.

FJS and Vocational Education and Training Assessment, Information, Methodology Centre (VETAIMC) partners to Develop Certification and Licensing System for Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Servicing Technicians – a project by the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology, under the implementation of phase-out management plan of Hydro Chlorofluorocarbons (HCFC) to comply with the obligations under the Montreal Protocol.

Training and certifying servicing technicians are becoming critical to ensure correct techniques during the installation, servicing, handling and decommissioning practices that ensure safety, prevention of Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) and greenhouse gases, and energy efficiency of the equipment. As such, licensing is an important mechanism to verify such competence of refrigeration and air- conditioning servicing technicians.

The project comprises of mapping the baseline situation and needs, developing technical documentation which includes proposing changes to occupational standards and programs to meet the needs of Montreal Protocol as well as revising relevant curricula as well as developing the mechanism and standard operation procedures for the licensing system.

Vocational Education and Training, Assessment, Information and Methodology Center (VETAIMC) is a public-private partnership organization in Mongolia, with responsibilities for assessment, verification and certification system for all occupations in TVET, development of the technical, vocational and occupational programs and standards, licensing for TVET institutes and industries and provision of methodology support and guidance to TVET institutions, employers, industries and experts, teachers. It also acts as an entity that bridges employers and training institutions for ensuring the strong link and partnership between them.

FJS has been appointed as the Financial Auditor of Society for Health Education (SHE) for the year ended 31st December 2021 on 20th May 2021.

Society for Health Education, is an NGO that is proactive in identifying and addressing the crucial health and social concerns of the Maldives. In doing so, SHE addresses issues related to Thalassemia, Counselling and Psychosocial Support, Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and Health Education. FJS has been engaged as the financial auditor of SHE since 2019.
